Myth: Property Tax Relief in Nebraska

If any of you are homeowners you probably know Nebraska is a state with VERY high property taxes!
In fact there are only 6 other states (out of 51 - don't forget DC) with higher property taxes than us.
It was announced by the Lincoln Journal Star that the Property tax initiative drive was abandoned meaning no relief is in sight.
No matter your view on the subject there is one thing to note - homeowners will continue to pay 1.83% property taxes in the State of Nebraska.
In Lincoln Nebraska according to Zillow the average cost of a home is $172,752 that means $3,162 annually for property tax.
If this is a hard pill to swallow there are options:
- Keep Paying
- Stop Paying (*NOT recommended* because you can unwillingly lose your home)
- Sell Your House
We can offer various solutions for people looking to get rid of property. The reason for selling can vary: property taxes too expensive, moving out of town, divorce, can't make payments, inherited property & so much more.
Circumstances arise that we cannot always control, we can do our best to curb the outcomes though.
If your finding yourself in a tough situation let us help!
